We are a family owned and operated business. Since 2008 we have taken pride in having the small personable feel and culture while providing fortune 500 dependability and organization. You will not find a harder working more caring group of individuals anywhere and if you do, let us know so we can hire them.
The following people are just the people who work in the administrative offices of our company. What you don't see is the 300 plus providers who operate out on the field behind the scenes and who make this agency what it is.
I started At Home Advocacy in 2008 and have been hooked ever since on truly helping people live better lives and creating value for as many people as I can. I do this line of work because it fulfills me and because I love to not because I have to. Thank you for all the trust that you place in my staff and myself. I am truly grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with such amazing people. If there is ever any thing that I can do, please do not hesitate to reach out.
I am the Director for the At Home Advocacy DD Waiver program. I joined the team in February of 2015 and it has been a wonderful experience for which I am extremely grateful for. It is my pleasure to work with dedicated professionals that always strive to provide value in everything they do. Seeing clients happy and achieving their goals is one of the many highlights of my job. With immense gratitude, I hope that I have been able to give as much as I have received from this awesome organization.
I joined At Home Advocacy in March of 2017. It has been the best thing to come into my life as of yet. Not knowing the field, I took on the challenge with an open mind and a willingness to learn with the help of my coworkers. I am proud to say that everyone who works on our team has a generous and loving heart for the individuals that we serve. Working with this agency has brought my life into contact with wonderful people who have taught me to be selfless and bring the needs of others first. I am more than honored to be a part of the AHA family.
I am the agency nurse for At Home Advocacy. I have been a nurse for 10 years and I am happy to be a part of the AHA team. It is great to see the community involvement and all the activities the clients participate in. It is always a joy to hear the laughter in the office of our clients and providers. I feel honored to have been welcomed into the lives of the clients and their providers. My life is more rich because of you all.
I started working with At Home Advocacy in 2010 as a service coordinator and I have never looked back. It has been the most rewarding job I could ever have asked for. I love going to work every day and being part of such an awesome team. I also love working with such amazing families, and I am so grateful they allow me to be part of their lives. It is all about the individuals we work with and I am their biggest fan!
I grew up in Albuquerque and as boring as it might sound, my ideal weekend is one spent with family; maybe a zoo trip or run to Santa Fe, or absolutely nothing but hanging out together. I look forward to it every weekend. I credit my first day at At Home Advocacy as my most significant memory so far. The weekend before Easter in 2017 we held a picnic and I was extremely nervous. Watching everyone - this group of people who I'd never met before - it was like a family barbeque! A stranger looking in would never guess we weren't just a big group of friends having a get together. That's probably why I love my job so much. Among countless other reasons, it's like I'm at a family get together all the time and for that I can't imagine being any happier. I must have done something right! Here I am today, working with a genuinely amazing group of people doing something I'd never imagined myself doing but all the while never being more thankful for being in the right place at the right time.
I have been with At Home Advocacy since October 2010. At that time, my goal was to find a simple part-time job to keep me busy. To my surprise, I found a home. A whole other world filled with real people. Vibrant, caring, thought provoking, head scratching, joyous people!!! A world filled with people that have taught me the meaning of a “blessing”. I have been working since I was 13 years old for small business owners and large corporations so finding At Home Advocacy has been a neat surprise and very appropriate for the last stage of my working life. Being a part of At Home Advocacy and being able to get to know all the individuals that make up this “family” has taught me that anything is possible. Even for an older, plant loving, rather have my hands in the dirt than have to interact with people kind of person. As a wife, mother, grandmother and caretaker, I take comfort in this thought. Anything is possible!
